The Resurrection of Israel & the Dead Sea Scrolls Thursday, April 15, 2021   In the late 1940s, Israel stood on the brink of being resurrected from the dead. On November 29, 1947, Eleazer Sukenik, an Israeli archaeologist had discovered the oldest writings of Hebrew in the world - the Dead Sea Scrolls. On the other side of the globe, Sukenik's son was reporting the vote of each country from the newly-formed United Nations on whether Israel would be reborn or not. Israel was declared a nation after 2000 years of dispersion. At the same time, Sukenik was reading the ancient words of a Dead Sea Scroll prophecy based on Scripture, which lay hidden in the Israeli sands for 2000 years. The words on what was called the Scroll of Thanksgiving said: "I was driven from my home like a bird from its nest. I was cast down, but raised up again..." Isn't God awesome? At the very moment, He raised His ancient nation from the dead, letting his people know that it was by His hand that the miracle happened. God keeps His promises, and is faithful, even when His people of Israel didn't follow Him. How much more will He be faithful and keep His promises to you who follow Him? From Message #1407 - The Resurrection of Zion   Today's Mission Encourage yourself today with this fact - God has kept His promises to Israel for thousands of years - He will certainly be faithful and keep His promises to you!   Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:24   Rabbi Jonathan Cahn

The Holy Spirit: Showers that Water the Earth He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, like showers that water the earth. Psalm 72:6   The Holy Spirit is like Showers That Water the Earth. He will come upon His people like the necessary showers that give life to things on the earth. Sometimes He is like a pouring rain that drenches the earth and produces a flood. Sometimes He is like a gentle shower—a mist—that lightly sprinkles droplets upon the leaves and grass. Sometimes the ground doesn’t need a downpour; it’s already saturated. Sometimes on a hot sweltering day, you need a few rain showers to cool you off. You need a light drizzle to refresh your spirit. Let the Holy Spirit be your Shower of refreshment today.   Holy Spirit, I’m waiting for a Rain Shower. Lately it’s been hot, and I’m exhausted. Refresh me so I can continue walking by faith.   The Holy Spirit is like Showers That Water the Earth. Showers come when it’s been too hot; He’ll come when you’re tempted and tired. Most people stop working during showers; would this be a good time for you to get some rest? When the rain is gently falling, it’s a time to think and to enjoy the natural surroundings. Isn’t this a good time to look around, take stock of your work and prepare for the next task?   Holy Spirit, rain on me. I need Your gentle presence to refresh me. I’ve done a lot of things, and I’m tired. I’ve got some big tasks ahead of me, and I need some rest. Holy Spirit, refresh me today. Amen.   Go Deeper: Psalm 72:1-19   The Holy Spirit will refresh you like a rain Shower.

Lighthouse Ministries Daily Prayer Dear Lord God,   Thank You for never forsaking me.   I know that others in my life will fail me, but You never fail...   Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:4   Your love has transformed my heart and my life.   Please continue to mold me to be more like You.   I will lean on You as I go forth with my day.   I know that I can turn to You for all things.   And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28   My Lord Jesus, I believe in You and I desire that you would flow through me, as you taught us...   He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. John 7:38   Thank You for loving me, for healing me and for giving me a future and a hope...   For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11   In Jesus' powerful name I pray,   Amen.

The Preparation Day and Shabbat Wednesday, April 14, 2021   For the observant Jew, Friday is a special day. It's called the Day of Preparation. It's the day given to prepare for the Shabbat, the Sabbath. So observant Jews will often rush around to do their shopping, to finish up what they have to in order to prepare for, and enter the Day of Rest. Now when you read the Gospels, you come across an interesting phrase. It's written that Messiah died on the Day of Preparation. The day He completed what He had to do, and then said, 'It is finished.' God gave His people the Shabbat, the Day of Rest and Blessing, so His people might find peace, healing, and communion with God. This teaches us something very important. You need to prepare for blessing. If you want to enter God's presence, you have to take it seriously and even, yes, labor to enter it. You may even have to tie up loose ends, forgive that person, bless that other person, put away that other thing that has to go from your life. God has in store for you a Day of Blessing. But you need first to take a Day of Preparation. From Message #487 - Prepare Ye the Way   Today's Mission Today, make preparations for your 'Day of Blessing' by spending some great time in the presence of the Lord.   Scripture: John 19:31   Rabbi Jonathan Cahn

Jesus: Faithful and True Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. Revelation 19:11   Jesus is called Faithful and True. These names were not given to Him until the end of the book of Revelation. When John saw the second coming of Jesus in power, he called Him Faithful and True. This compound name reflects His character. He is faithful to do all He promised, and Jesus promised, “I will come again” (John 14:3). Jesus is true and consistent to all that is established in the universe. Jesus’ second coming is the appropriate climax to all He did since creation. Jesus will be Faithful and True throughout the great tribulation in Revelation, so He’ll be Faithful and True in your hour of trial. Right to the end, He’ll be the same, regardless of circumstances, regardless of pressures, regardless of others’ disappointments; Jesus will prove Himself to be Faithful and True.   Lord, how long will my troubles last? The Evil One is strong, and it’s been so long. It’s easy to get my eyes on tribulation and not on You. Help me look beyond my problem to see Your victorious triumph. How long?   Jesus will always be Faithful and True to the plan He established when He created all things. He will allow sin to run its course, and He will allow the Evil One to do His work. But then He’ll return, just as He promised, to judge sin and evildoers and to reward those who obey Him.   Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness to keep Your word and for being truthful about the reality of sin. Because I have trusted You for salvation, I will continue to trust You today. Amen.   Go Deeper: Revelation 19:11-21   Jesus will be Faithful and True to the end.

Lighthouse Ministries Daily Prayer Dear Lord God,   You are unchanging.   And You are all knowing.   You are faithful and true, the rock upon which I stand.   Thank You for Your rock-solid foundation for my life, my Lord Jesus Christ...   Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.. Matthew 7:24   Please help me to...   …be content with what [I] have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5   In You, I find all that I need...   The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1   And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19   Please make this known to my heart and help me to trust You completely.   I desire to be satisfied in You and You alone.   In Jesus’ abundant name I pray,   Amen.

Waiting for Life Tuesday, April 13, 2021   Entire rooms are built just for people to wait in. Every doctor subscribes to magazines to keep you busy. You sit in a room full of strangers, sitting in a place you don't want to be, with people you don't particularly want to be with, waiting to go a place you don't particularly want to go. Whoever came up with the doctrine of Purgatory had to have spent a lot of his life waiting in a doctor's office. Many believers spend their lives the same way. Heaven is the office, and earth is the waiting room. They're just waiting for it to be over - in a place they don't want to be, with people they don't want to be with, waiting for a place they hope will be better. They spend their days on earth just trying to get through. This life isn't a waiting room. God promised us life abundantly now. We look forward to heaven, but the heavenly life starts now or not at all. Stop waiting for life and start living it, fully, victoriously, and heavenly. This life is the beginning of eternal life and not a cosmic waiting room. From Message #587 - Waiting for Heaven   Today's Mission Stop waiting to live - And start living. Live as if your heavenly life actually begins now.   Scripture: Romans 5:17   Rabbi Jonathan Cahn

Jesus: The Only Wise God Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17   Jesus is the Only Wise God. Idols can’t speak and leaders of false religions don’t know anything. But because the Lord Jesus created people, He knows what people think; He even knows their motives and desires. He knows everything about all people, so He knows all about you. Jesus knows your temptations and your strengths. He knows your spiritual dreams and your secret sins. He knows what is best for you for this day. Will you let Jesus, the Only Wise God, guide you?   Lord Jesus, You know everything about me. You know I am not as strong as I want to be. Stand by me and help me today. You know what is best for this day.   Jesus is the Only Wise God who knows everything that’s ever happened. He knows things that haven’t yet happened and “calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Romans 4:17). Jesus knows what will happen to you before it happens, and He knows the things that could have happened to you but didn’t. Trust Him to guide you and protect you. Let Him help you make good decisions to keep you from physical harm and spiritual danger.   Lord Jesus, You know the future, and I don’t know what will happen to me. So guide me this day. You have kept me from making mistakes in the past, and You’ve protected me from evil. You are the Only Wise God. I need Your wise guidance to keep me from making mistakes. I will depend on Your guidance this day. Amen.   Go Deeper: Psalm 39   The wisdom of Jesus can help you make good decisions.
