Yesterday, I feel like the Lord opened my eyes to something He wanted me to realize. Lately, I had been upset and whining about not having a boyfriend. I know I'm only thirteen, but some girls start dating at ten, and I was starting to feel like the odd girl out. One of the singers at my church is named Donna. During a live Christmas special, I noticed that her name appeared as Donna Kelley and not Donna Carline. At 1st, I thought it was a little weird, because I figured she'd been married for years and years, seeing as I was starting to notice a ring on that figure. But I just passed it off as maybe her husband had recently went to be with the Lord, and that she was now going as her maiden name. But just yesterday, I noticed that, again, her name appeared as Donna Kelley, and it hit me! This woman, who is in her mid to late fifties was newly married! After the service was over, I went to google and typed in "Donna Carline Kelley" and I found that she got married on December 3, 2016! It was just beautiful to me, that this woman spent her whole life livivng for God and serving Him and, in His Timing, she was married! It just goes to show that you are never too old to fall in love! And if you spend your teenage years serving God and not worried about the opposite sex, God will give you your soulmate in His Timing like Professor David Borg mentioned in Crossfire a few years ago. So, now I've decided to ask God to help me keep my eyes on Him and His Word instead of guys, dating and sex. I hope I don't have to wait til my fifties to get married, but if it's what God wants, I'll try to accept it. Because at the end of the day, I just want His Will, not mine.

Move of God among teens

I was saved on November 9th, 2015 when I was fourteen years old. For the past year and a half, I have been watching Sonlife Broadcasting Network and getting christian material from Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Most of his books are not geared towards teenagers, but I don't let that stop me. God is moving in my life and in the lives of many other teens. In the "Letters From Our Audience" section of the Febuary issue of The Evangelist magazine, a fifteen year old young man wrote in saying that he loves SBN and that God has called him to preach. One of Brother Swaggarts singers is only nineteen years old and I feel the Holy Spirit moving whenever she sings "Near The Cross". If you watch the annual International Youth Conference over the Network, you will see thousands of teenagers singing, shouting and praising God. Whenever someone preaches, they have their Crossfire Bibles out, open and are paying attention. This gospel may be a game to most teens, but it's not to me and my sixteen year old best friend. We love Jesus Christ, we love the Bible, and God is moving amongst teens. Praise the Lord!
